We have a lot of young teens in our church and I think that they need to know that sex is a serious subject. I believe it is when its not taken seriously is when the danger comes. We decided when then children were very small and started asking questions, that we'd always be open and honest. So far we have done just that and it is comforting knowing we have that relationship with our 12 and 15 year old (and 2 others following behind them). However there are times I am suprised, picking my jaw up from the ground, of the topics they openly share. I follow the conversation praising God for their trust in us as parents and that they value our opinions and advice. I hope these sessions fill any gaps we have left open. Well said.
